Two Stage Water Ring Vacuum Pump Manufacturer

Two Stage Water Ring Vacuum Pump In response to the overwhelming demand received from the market, JD VACUUM SERVICE has come forth with a Double Stage version of their vastly patronized Water-ring type Vacuum Pump. Each and every pump of this new series very successfully and effectively takes care of its respective job and hence as usual is held in similarly high esteem as the ‘JD VACUUM SERVICE’ logo has already been earned.

TWO STAGE WATER RING VACUUM PUMP

Two Stage Water Ring Vacuum Pump

A water ring vacuum pump is a type of vacuum pump that uses a liquid (usually water) to create a vacuum. This type of pump is commonly used in industrial applications where high vacuum levels are required.

A two-stage water ring vacuum pump is a type of water ring vacuum pump that has two stages of compression. The first stage compresses the gas to an intermediate pressure, while the second stage compresses the gas to the final vacuum level.

The two-stage design allows for higher vacuum levels to be achieved than with a single-stage pump. Additionally, the two-stage design reduces the amount of water required to create the vacuum, making it more efficient.

The pump works by creating a rotating ring of water inside the pump chamber. The water creates a seal between the impeller and the pump casing, and as the impeller rotates, it draws in gas through the inlet port.

In the first stage, the gas is compressed by the impeller and the water ring to an intermediate pressure. The gas then passes through a separator, which separates the gas from the water and discharges the water through a drain.

In the second stage, the gas is compressed again to the final vacuum level. The gas then passes through another separator, which removes any remaining water droplets before discharging the gas through the outlet port.

Two-stage water ring vacuum pumps are commonly used in a wide range of industries, including chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and more. They are ideal for applications where high vacuum levels are required and where a clean and reliable vacuum source is necessary.

Two-stage water ring vacuum pumps are designed to handle a wide range of gases and vapors, including corrosive and toxic gases. They are also capable of handling large volumes of gas and can achieve vacuum levels of up to 0.5 torr.

One advantage of the water ring vacuum pump is that it creates a relatively low operating temperature, making it ideal for heat-sensitive applications. The water used in the pump also acts as a coolant, which helps to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the system.

Another advantage of the two-stage design is that it reduces the amount of water required to create the vacuum, which in turn reduces the amount of water that needs to be treated or disposed of after use.

Two-stage water ring vacuum pumps are available in a range of sizes and configurations, making them suitable for a variety of applications. They can be powered by electric motors or steam turbines, and they can be constructed from a variety of materials, including cast iron, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.

When selecting a two-stage water ring vacuum pump, it is important to consider factors such as the desired vacuum level, the type of gas or vapor being pumped, and the required flow rate. Other factors to consider include the pump’s reliability, ease of maintenance, and overall cost.

Two-stage water ring vacuum pumps are also commonly used in applications where a clean and oil-free vacuum source is required. Since water is used as the sealing medium instead of oil, there is no risk of oil contamination in the pumped gas or vapor. This makes two-stage water ring vacuum pumps an ideal choice for applications such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, and semiconductor manufacturing.

In addition, two-stage water ring vacuum pumps are relatively quiet and vibration-free, making them a good choice for applications where noise and vibration are a concern.

Maintenance of a two-stage water ring vacuum pump is relatively simple and straightforward. The water used in the pump should be changed periodically to prevent contamination and to maintain the pump’s performance. In addition, the pump should be inspected regularly for signs of wear or damage, and any necessary repairs should be made promptly.

Overall, a two-stage water ring vacuum pump is an efficient and reliable choice for any application that requires a high vacuum level. Its two-stage design provides superior performance compared to single-stage pumps, making it a popular choice for a wide range of industrial applications.

Two Stage Water Ring Vacuum Pump Working Principle

JD VACUUM SERVICE Double Stage Water Ring Vacuum Pumps are of Positive Displacement Type wherein the Impeller is mounted Eccentrically to the axis of the Pump Casing. Sealing water forms a ring that circulates concentrically within the axis of the casing. Process Gases drawn in through the Suction Port get trapped in the Impeller Cells, are compressed & travel to the second stage where they get compressed further and are discharged through the Exhaust port. The sealing water which forms the liquid ring is supplied at a pressure equal to the Discharge Pressure of the pump, which allows the pump to automatically make up the amount of liquid that is discharged through the Exhaust Port, therefore removing the Heat of Compression from the Pump.

How much vacuum does a Double Stage water ring vacuum pump make?

These can create a Vacuum of up to 720 mm Hg provided that the temperature of the sealant water is below 30 °C & barometric pressure at the site is 760 mm Hg.

What are the components of a Double Stage water ring vacuum pump?

Generally, the Main Casing & almost all the components are made from Cl except the Shaft & Impeller which are SS-304/SS-316. However, the pumps are also offered in various combinations of resistant materials for specific applications.

Applications

models are quite versatile and find their applications in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Petro-chemical & Food Processing Industries, Breweries & Distilleries, Confectionery, Plastic, Textiles, Garment & Leather Processing Industries, Paper & Sugar Mills, Power Plants, Furnaces, Tiles & Ceramics Industries, Cement & Fertilizer Plants, Metallurgical Laboratories and are suitable for a host of other Vacuum Applications like Vacuum Conveying, Packaging, Extrusion, Priming, Dehydration, Filtration & Sterilizing, etc.
